(“Cooperative”) is a lawful non-profit cooperative of qualified patients associating together in order to access cannabis for medical use. The Cooperative operates in strict compliance with the Compassionate Use Act (Health & Safety Code §§ 11362.5 et seq.), the Medical Marijuana Program Act (Health & Safety Code §§ 11362.7 et seq.), and the Attorney General Guidelines for the Security and Non-Diversion of Marijuana Grown for Medical Use, August, 2008. In conformance with the Attorney General Guidelines, the Cooperative is a lawful corporation under Corporations Code §§ 12200, et seq. The Cooperative is a closed-loop, democratically run and members-only association of qualified medical cannabis patients that spreads the cost of cultivating cannabis among members, which means that financial contributions reimburse only actual costs. The Cooperative requires member participation and voting as to operation.
